World Record Appreciation Society Event #1: Recap

Below is an email I just sent to everyone who attended last night's first-ever World Record Appreciation Society event. We had a great time, collectively setting 11 brand-new universal records. World Record Appreciation Society

We're building URDB because we love world records. To that effect, we've just founded a New York City-based group called the World Record Appreciation Society. This group will meet on a monthly basis to set and document new world records. If successful, we're looking to take it on the road next year. URDB Presentation

Tomorrow night I'll be presenting URDB at Web2NewYork's monthly event. It's the first time we're sharing the site with a public audience. I'm torn between tremendous excitement and crap-my-pants fear. Corey and I having been working tirelessly the past ten days or so, getting the site ready for people to explore and play with.
