Thanks a million for trudging out on a cold, rainy, Monday night. To a mysterious karaoke basement bar in Chinatown. With the promise of nothing more than some freaks on stage and a couple free egg rolls. If "Commitment To Appreciating Records" was an acceptable category, you'd all be world record holders in my eyes.

We're building URDB because we love world records. To that effect, we've just founded a New York City-based group called the World Record Appreciation Society. This group will meet on a monthly basis to set and document new world records. If successful, we're looking to take it on the road next year.

Tomorrow night I'll be presenting URDB at Web2NewYork's monthly event. It's the first time we're sharing the site with a public audience. I'm torn between tremendous excitement and crap-my-pants fear.
Corey and I having been working tirelessly the past ten days or so, getting the site ready for people to explore and play with. It's still got a long way to go, but it feels hella good to finally get this sucker launched.
