World Record Appreciation Society #2

If you're in New York this Wednesday night, please join us for our first World Record Appreciation Society event of 2009. Marked by a return performance from Todd Lamb, current holder of URDB's most popular record, and an appearance by Jake Bronstein, who currently holds two universal records (here and here), this looks to be a truly memorable night. It's like seeing Miles Davis and John Coltrane on the same bill, only instead of jazz, these dudes set world records. Happy new year, Dan

A new year brings new feats never before achieved in the history of mankind. To kick off 2009 in style, the World Record Appreciation Society (W.R.A.S.) invites you to join us for what should be a legendary night of record setting.

At this extremely special event, you'll have an opportunity to get onstage and set your own world record in front of a cheering (and possibly uncontrollable) crowd. As long as records are quantifiable, breakable and legal, they're welcome on our stage.

All feats will be documented, measured, shot on video and added to the URDB database. If you'd like to join the bill, please email Dan (dan@urdb.org) ASAP.

Currently on the lineup:

"Fastest Time To Open A Can Of Campbell's Alphabet Soup And Spell Out The Word 'Chimpanzee'" (Colin Nissan)

"Most Complaints In One Minute" (Mark Lamster)

"Fastest Time To Open A Bag Of Skittles And Organize Them By Color" (Kaoru Kumatani)

"Most Bananas Fit Inside A Pair Of Jeans While Wearing Them" (Dan Rollman)

Kissing Record TBD (Claire T. and Ben R.)

"Most Pictures Of Fish Sandwiches Looked At In One Minute" (Todd Lamb, who will attempt to beat his current record in a MUST-SEE performance)

Please bring friends. Forward this invite to others. Like all W.R.A.S. events, there will be FREE spring rolls for all. I repeat: FREE spring rolls.

*This Event Is Free*
